Recruitment

If you want to be part of something great, then you want to join the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

Here at the University of Washington, the Beta-Psi chapter of the Kappa Sigma is centered on a strong brotherhood. We value respect for one another, which is apparent in our dry rush and no-hazing policies. Our fraternity believes that a positive environment is necessary to promote brotherhood, therefore we do not tolerate wet rush or any form of hazing.

We feel that dry rush is important because we would like to get to know you in more than just a party environment. The social aspects are only a small part of a fraternity. In the future when you look back on your college experience a fun party isn’t what comes to mind. What stand out are the life-long friendships that you made during your time in college.

We strongly disagree with the idea of hazing. In our opinion, we do not need to break down our members to rebuild them and make them stronger. Our positive methods for integrating new members into the house is evident in our pledge program that is full of events designed to test your leadership skills and ability to work with others. Even simple chores of cleaning the house are spread out among all members, including the president. This helps to avoid a hierarchical system and instead promote an equal environment.

Kappa Sigma has also achieved a cumulative GPA that is consistently above the all men’s average. With our scholarship program we help each and every one of our members obtain the best education possible. We even offer scholarship money for the member who achieves the highest grades each quarter.

Our house holds up to 42 members and we also allow members to live out. There are no sleeping porches here and a majority of our rooms are doubles.

Kappa Sigma also boasts the lowest membership fees among all fraternities nationally.

If you want to learn more about the Kappa Sigma fraternity or are interested in visiting the house, feel free to contact our recruitment officers Connor Johnson (425) 931-2796  & Jason Arcuri (360) 970-7895. Or email rushksig@gmail.com & Facebook RUSH KAPPA SIGMA '10 for more information.
